STRESS : QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q: What is stress?
Answer: Stress is the result of placing undue expectation or desire upon ourselves. It is when we create an image of the self and we try and develop to an image created by other people as well. So we create the image of the self as to where we should be and often we then compare it with the reality of where we are.

This creates opposing forces within ourselves as the mind aspires to match the created image with our current situation. Stress can be further magnified by worrying about other people thinking excessively about others and creating negative situations which are far removed from likely outcome of a situation.

We also tend to increase our stress levels by remembering a negative event over and over again thereby reliving the negative emotion associated with that past event.
